How does the word unscrambler work?
It checks every word in the dictionary and keeps the ones that can be spelled with your letters, using each letter at most as many times as you typed it. Blank tiles can stand in for any letter.
Can I use blank tiles or wildcards?
Yes. Type ? (or a space or *) for each blank. Letters played with a blank score zero points, and the tool uses your real letters first so the score shown is the best possible.
Which dictionary do you use?
ENABLE, a public-domain list of about 173,000 English words used by many word games. It is close to, but not the same as, the official Scrabble or Words With Friends dictionaries, so check a borderline word in your game before you play it.
Is there a letter limit?
You can enter up to 15 letters including blanks. More than about 12 letters returns thousands of words, so use the filters to narrow them down.
